TRC20 vs ERC20 vs BEP20: Which USDT Network to Use at a Crypto Casino
Updated 2026-10-27 · by BoosterHand Editorial
USDT is the same dollar-pegged token on every network, but the network you choose decides the fee, the speed and — if you get it wrong — whether your money arrives at all. The safe rule: pick a network that both the casino and your wallet support, and select it on both sides.
The three networks in one table
| TRC20 (Tron) | ERC20 (Ethereum) | BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Address looks like | starts with T | starts with 0x | starts with 0x |
| Typical fee | low; paid in TRX/energy | highest; varies with Ethereum gas | low; paid in BNB |
| Speed | usually minutes | usually minutes, slower when congested | usually minutes |
| Gas token needed in your wallet | TRX (for sending) | ETH (for sending) | BNB (for sending) |
Fees change with network load and wallet settings, so check the fee your casino or wallet shows at the moment you send.
The mistake that loses money
ERC20 and BEP20 addresses look identical — both start with 0x. If you withdraw USDT on BEP20 to an exchange deposit address that only credits ERC20, the exchange may not credit it automatically. Some exchanges can recover such deposits for a fee; some cannot.
TRC20 addresses start with T, so a casino form will usually reject a 0x address on TRC20 — but always double-check.
Which one to choose
- Small, frequent deposits: a low-fee network such as TRC20 or BEP20, if both sides support it.
- Withdrawing to a DeFi wallet on Ethereum: ERC20, accepting the higher fee.
- Withdrawing to an exchange: use exactly the network shown on the exchange’s deposit page.
Before every first transfer
- Open the deposit page of the destination (casino or exchange) and note the network name.
- Select the same network on the sending side.
- Copy-paste the address; compare the first and last 4–6 characters.
- Send a small test amount first.
