Casino Bankroll Calculator
How long will your money last? Enter your numbers: we calculate the average cost and run 2,000 simulated sessions in your browser to show what a typical session looks like.
Generic slot models, not a real game. Results vary run to run. Math, not a prediction.
How the calculator works
The average cost is simple: bet × spins per hour × house edge, where house edge = 100% − RTP. The simulation then plays 2,000 sessions with a generic slot whose payout table is scaled to your RTP. Volatility changes how the RTP is paid: frequent small wins (low), or rare big ones (high). See the full experiment in Slot Volatility: Low vs High and RTP Explained.
FAQ
How long will $100 last on a slot machine?
It depends on bet size, RTP and volatility. On average a $1 bet on a 96% RTP slot loses 4 cents per spin, but in our simulation the typical $100 lasted about 690 spins on a medium-volatility slot and only about 290 spins on a high-volatility one.
How do I calculate my expected loss per hour?
Multiply your bet size by spins per hour and by the house edge (100% minus RTP). Example: $1 × 600 spins × 4% = $24 per hour on average.
Does volatility change the expected loss?
No. Volatility changes how unevenly results are spread, not the average. High volatility makes most sessions end faster, while a few players win big.
